THIRD STREET PRESENTS SHANNAN CALCUTT’S THINGS I SHOULDN’T TELL YOU
A wickedly funny and refreshingly candid take on midlife, womanhood and everything we were taught to keep to ourselves.
LAS VEGAS (August 19, 2026) THIRD Street Arts & Media Incubator presents a newly expanded production of Things I Shouldn’t Tell You, written and performed by acclaimed Las Vegas artist Shannan Calcutt, October 1–11, 2026, at THIRD Street in downtown Las Vegas.
Part confessional, part comedy and entirely relatable, Things I Shouldn’t Tell You takes an unapologetically funny look at the trials, triumphs and unexpected indignities of being a woman in midlife. From a magical mistress and a quick-fix vibrator to the fine art of plucking chin hairs, Calcutt finds humor in the things women experience but are often told they shouldn’t talk about.
“I truly believed midlife would be a time when I’d be thriving, but I somehow missed the memo on the crash landing of second puberty,” says Calcutt. Known for her sharp wit, fearless performances and ability to turn deeply personal experiences into universal comedy, Calcutt invites audiences into a conversation about the subjects too often dismissed as embarrassing, shameful or inappropriate.
And, the conversation doesn’t end when the curtain comes down.
MORE THAN A SHOW: A NIGHT OUT FOR WOMEN WHO GET IT
Things I Shouldn’t Tell You is followed by a 45-minute perimenopause-themed after-party featuring conversation, games, specialty cocktails and mocktails, and plenty of opportunities to laugh, connect and share.
Tickets are $45 and include a “Sweaty Betty” or “Second Puberty Punch”, making the evening part theater, part girls’ night out and part conversation we probably should have been having all along.
INCUBATING VEGAS-MADE CREATIVITY
The production also represents a central part of the mission behind THIRD Street Arts & Media Incubator: giving local artists the space, infrastructure and creative support to develop their work in Las Vegas while helping Vegas-made creativity grow beyond Las Vegas.
Presented in partnership with THIRD Street, Things I Shouldn’t Tell You brings together Calcutt and her creative team to further develop the production while creating a deeper, more interactive experience for audiences.
“Las Vegas has world-class artists creating work that deserves to be seen here and far beyond our city,” said Daz Weller, CEO of THIRD Street. “Our job at THIRD Street is to create a place where artists can experiment, collaborate, take risks and connect with audiences. Things I Shouldn’t Tell You is a fearless, original, deeply personal work made by an extraordinary Vegas artist. I want more people to see it, and I want work like this to have a pathway from Las Vegas to the wider world.”
